Start with the handling insurer.
Open the claim as soon as you can and ask what towing arrangements or authorization the insurer requires. Call Kulavic’s to coordinate the vehicle’s arrival at our Springfield shop. Confirm any towing cost or benefit directly with the insurer.
Call the shop with the claim details.
Tell us which insurer is handling the claim, your claim number, where the vehicle is and whether it can be driven. Some insurers write their own initial estimate; others need a shop workfile or assignment before an estimate can be prepared.
Prepare for the estimate and authorization steps.
The insurer’s process determines what estimate or assignment comes first. A signed repair authorization and required claim steps are needed before work proceeds. If a visit is needed, the office will help plan it at the Springfield shop.
Expect scheduling after the claim steps.
A tow-in arriving at the shop does not mean repairs begin that day. Insurer review, authorization, parts and a place in the repair schedule affect the start and completion timing. The shop will discuss the current plan after those details are known.
