Bring the vehicle if it is safe to drive.
An in-person estimate lets the team inspect visible damage and areas that photos may not show. If the vehicle is unsafe or cannot be driven, call before arranging a tow so the insurer’s instructions and the shop’s next steps can be discussed.
Bring claim information and insurer paperwork.
If insurance is involved, have the handling insurer, claim number, any estimate and its instructions ready. Some carriers prepare their own first estimate; others need an assignment in the shop’s claim file. Call ahead to confirm what is needed.
Use the appointment for the estimate, not repair drop-off.
The estimator will discuss the visible damage and the next repair steps. A repair drop-off date is scheduled separately after the signed authorization, insurance process, parts and shop schedule are reviewed.
Ask about availability before making a walk-in visit.
Appointments are preferred and may be several days out. Call (217) 793-9777 to check whether an estimator is available. Walk-in timing depends on the day’s workload and may result in a later appointment.
