Pick up your vehicle after the shop confirms it is ready. Before you arrive, confirm the office has the final payment information and ask what balance, paperwork or checks you should bring. At the front desk, collect your repair documents, written warranty and keys, and ask any questions before leaving.

Before you head to the shop

Wait for a ready message or direct confirmation from the office. If insurance is paying part of the repair, check whether the payment has reached the shop and whether you owe a deductible, self-pay amount or other balance. Bring any repair checks already issued to you. Call to confirm the amount due, accepted payment methods and any applicable fee. Cash must be exact; for a balance over $1,000, ask whether a cashier’s check is needed.

If you are returning a rental, confirm the plan with both the shop and rental company before you travel. The office can discuss whether you may leave it at pickup and how the rental company will collect it. Do not assume that arrangement is available without confirming it.

Review the paperwork and warranty

Ask for the completed repair order or final paperwork describing the work and charges. Keep it with your estimate, claim documents and any payment records. Get the written repair warranty and read its coverage, conditions and exclusions. At Kulavic’s, the repair warranty is limited and applies while you own the vehicle subject to its written terms. Replacement parts can have separate warranty terms. Ask the office to explain any part or repair term that is unclear.

You can ask the team about work shown on the paperwork before you leave. A vehicle walkthrough is not automatically included, so speak up if you want a specific area clarified. Collision repair cleanup is related to the repair; it is not a full interior and exterior detail.

Care for fresh paint

Follow the repair-specific paint-care instructions you receive at pickup. As general shop guidance, Kulavic’s advises waiting 30 days before hand washing fresh paint and closer to 60 days before using an automatic car wash. These are not universal instructions for every paint product or repair. If the instructions for your vehicle differ or you are uncertain, ask the team before washing.

The shop can clarify the care steps for the areas that were refinished. Keep the aftercare and warranty FAQs with your pickup paperwork for reference.

Contact the shop if you have a concern

If you notice something that concerns you after pickup, contact the shop promptly. Describe what you see and when you noticed it. Staff can arrange a time to inspect it and explain whether another drop-off is needed. Some checks or adjustments can take part or all of a day, so ask about availability before returning.

Raising a concern promptly starts a conversation; it does not determine warranty coverage. The written warranty and any separate part terms explain what applies. For questions before pickup, see the payment and pickup FAQs. If you are still planning the repair, read how to compare body shops and how collision repair timing works, then contact the shop.
